FAQ

Are you bringing back Trax FM? – No, this is a new station that has the original presenters from the original Trax FM. We don’t have networked shows from other stations and we ONLY have the original presenters.

Are you on FM? – No, FM is now old tech! When was the last time you used an FM radio (apart from in the car). Everyone does everything on their phone, so click on the internet and go to traxfm.uk to listen!

BTW -FM is switched off in 7 years.

Why is it called Trax FM if you aren’t on FM?– The way to know its a radio station is either FM or Radio at the end. Trax Radio doesn’t sound right so we went for FM. Think of it as Trax FOR MUSIC (We bought the trademark too so nobody else can use the brand).

Why are you doing this? – We believe there is a need for local radio that concentrates on Doncaster AND Bassetlaw. Most local radio now is networked from outside the area and presenters are TV stars, not local people.

Is It 24 Hours? – Yes! Breakfast, Mid-mornings and Drive are local presenters. Back, Night Trax and Love Trax are back to back music with LOCAL information. We will run the station for 12 months as a test to see if you need us!

Have you got local news? – The presenters will read any news that effects our areas. At the moment we don’t have a dedicated news reader but you never know.

Can I get you in the car? – Yes if you bluetooth your phone to your car and press play on our player. DAB may be an option in the future if we are successful.

What information do you provide? – Live travel on our website, local weather (on socials too) and events.

Where are you based? – All over the area! Sprotbrough, Kilton and Thievesdale.
